The bronze Scottie and Scotsman were installed on October 2nd in the area (Highland Glen)  just north of the entrance to the school. A dedication is planned for October 14 at 3:30 P.M. in conjunction with The Hall of Fame and Wall of Honor Ceremonies which will follow the dedication. The area surrounding the statues contains bricks which can be purchased and engraved for $50. If you would like to purchase a brick to pay tribute to a friend, classmate, relative or just help pay for the Highland Glen, there is an order form in the Brick Order Form tab below the 53rd Reunion tab.

Highland Park High School Class Of 1966

A vote at our 50th Reunion indicated a reunion in 3 years was most favored, so the early plan will be to have a 53rd Reunion in 2019.  The 50th Reunion Committee held a post-reunion wrap up meeting to review lessons learned and discussed the 53rd Reunion. A survey has been posted for 2 months but only 37 classmates have taken it.  Thirty two classmates said they would attend if their schedule permitted, but we will need significantly more if we hope to find a date which many classmates can and will attend. I will be sending personal emails to classmates who have attended in the past, but did not submit a survey and encourage them to complete it. Please consider contacting classmates and ask them to submit a survey if they haven't already done so.

Assuming there is strong interest in a 2019 reunion, a call for volunteers to serve on a 53rd Reunion Committee will then be promulgated and an initial meeting of the committee will be held. Anyone already interested in serving on the next reunion committee is welcome to contact me by email.
